Oklahoma City, OK (June 1, 2019) – NextStream Growth I, LLC (“NextStream”), an early-stage venture capital firm, announces new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner, Jerome Loughridge.
Loughridge, 46, joins NextStream from Patterson-UTI, where he served as President of Great Plains Oilfield Rental. Loughridge led Great Plains for seven years, joining the leadership team while the company was part of Chesapeake Oilfield Services and its successor entity, Seventy-Seven Energy. Under Loughridge, Great Plains grew from an internally-owned, single-customer service provider to a leading company in the oilfield rental space with 150+ active customers and an industry segment-leading Total Recordable Incident Rate. Prior to leading Great Plains, Loughridge was Founder and President of Black Mesa Energy Services, the oilfield investment arm of Ziff Brothers Investments - the New York-based office for the Ziff family funds. Among Black Mesa's key investments was the start-up of coiled tubing and pressure pumping provider, Legend Energy Services. Loughridge previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Great White Energy Services, a Wexford Capital-backed oilfield services firm with operating companies in the pressure control (coiled tubing and snubbing), pressure pumping, remote housing & provisioning and oilfield manufacturing spaces in the United States, Canada and China. Loughridge received his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Baylor University and his masters as a Truman Scholar from Harvard University. He previously served in the White House as a White House Fellow and Special Assistant to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Loughridge's prior professional experience includes tenures as Chief of Staff at Baylor University and as a Derivatives Trader on the international crude desk for Williams Energy.
Loughridge was recently appointed Secretary of Health & Mental Health by Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt and was confirmed by the Senate to serve the State in that voluntary capacity.
